Rise of the TMNT: Marked in Remembrance - Comic

Okay, so I want to start off by apologizing for my absence. I've been quiet on both AO3 and here for about a month and/or more. I have no excuse for it besides the fact that I didn't have the proper motivation to really draw/write/make anything, so I'd occasionally jump from one project or another, but mainly spent my time viewing/reading others' work. It was a weird little rut, but I've managed to finish something, so here's to hoping I'm getting out of it?

Also, to the Sonic and Ninjago fans who've been following me: I know this is a weird turn out of nowhere! And I'm sorry for that! I've actually been more in the mood for Rise TMNT as of lately, so that's part of the reason my desire to work on anything has plummeted, because I wanted to do something more related to Rise than anything else.

This is the first Rise TMNT project that I'm happy enough with to post. XD So, hopefully you guys like it? Well, at least those of you Rise fans.

Not sure what I'll be working on after this just yet? I just finished this and wanted to post something to show I'M ALIVE!

Let me know if anyone wants more Rise stuff here or not. It might get me to try finishing the rough drafted stuff I haven't gotten around to finishing. XD

Day 44!! Movie Outfits!!

#papr daily #mafukasa #the movie outfits are so good and no one can convince me otherwise #I understand most people don't like the outfits because they're so simple in comparison to the usual fits we see in-game for events #but I NEED people to understand that. This movie likely does NOT have the budget to animate outfits with the amount of detail people want #for the movie they have to redraw the outfit OVER and OVER again it makes sense for the outfits to be so streamlined #which is why I'm so surprised they let Rui (and only Rui) get away with have all the patterns he does #me personally I think it'd have been better for them to pick either the stripes or the diamonds and ditch the other but then again it is Ru #who is he without his asymmetry and diamonds #anywasy!!!!!!!#I was gonna draw more Mafukasa swap but I was drawing a blank on ideas #HOWEVER!!! I've been looking for songs today and currently thinking of possibly #Yoru no Uta by Kikuo for Mafuyu/Wondershow and To Live by Atsu Mizuno for Tsukasa/Niigo #I like how they both match the vibes of the originals (Yoru no Uta having less “understandable” more fantastical lyrics like Sekai wa Mada #and To Live being a really personal song) BUT at the same time they contrast the songs a bit? (Yoru no Uta is much more obvious about its #darker tone and lyrics relating more to giving up than perservering and To Live is about continuing to live despite the pain instead of. yk #I also like the idea of Mafuyu's song putting more focus on her while Tsukasa's puts more focus on the others? That reflects them kinda?#but like I said these are just possibilities #though I don't think I'll be doing much with the au after this because I'm still brainrotting over the gm au that I'll make the post about #soon I prommy #Let me just finish film concert state testing audition prom AP testing concert where everyone cries and finals first and then I will >:3 #but anyways gn chat!!!!!!!!!!!! :D #eyestrain #bright colors #<-?

Once again defying the idea heaven is all white clouds and bright light. Heaven is rainbow jewel-tones, deeply saturated, somehow still translucent, ablaze with the soft but intense light we describe as ‘golden hour’. I’m not just saying this, it’s literally in scripture and in every decent house of worship since 255AD.

#sorry reformed Protestants with your simple white walls it’s nice and everything and sure helps you focus on the word #but stained glass was made to transform earthly light into heavenly light #a hill I will die on #heaven is all the colors plus the shrimp colors and we will be like mantis shrimp there #and yes I made the date up it’s Saturday morning what do you expect #there were colorful mosaics in the Roman catacombs though

So! I mentioned before I'd make another video with the coloring process of the Hunter's Moon illustration, along with a little voiceover of me talking about my overall process to get it done.

Video is here, I was very nervous while speaking, forgive my clumsiness, weird accent and stupid jokes sometimes "^^

But I hope it has some tips and insights that can help other people!

(Again, video is pretty long, almost 20 min, sped up 9x 'cause the raw footage was many hours long T-T)

I'm working on a Majesty illust now, and maybe I'll do the same with the videos and talking with it too.

I learned a lot of art stuff the last few years that would've helped me horribly when I was younger and maybe those videos will be able to reach someone who might be stuck like I was ^^

trying knitting again and i figured out how to purl finally but also i'm using wood needles instead of metal ones like i've used in the past and i'm enjoying the experience so much more. i did not like how much the yarn slid on metal needles and the wood ones just help keep my stitches in place a lot better... i really just want to learn to make socks and maybe a few sweaters someday but i'm also open to whatever catches my fancy. right now i'm just doing a scarf in stockinette to get the hang of how to hold my needles and yarn and to use up an old yarn cake i had no other use for that was leftover from those baby blankets i made a few years ago so that's awesome too.

#shay speaks #theres a small local yarn/craft store in the next town over that i got these needles on sale at #they were having a hard time selling them so i got 6mm wood (i think theyre birch) needles for like $5 #and i got some free stitch markers too yippie #but i'm having a lot of fun just knitting while watching videos or letting r1999 play in the background for the story #giving me something mindless to do to help focus on those things...#although just doing stockinette this thing is curling REAL BAD but thats fine... thats fineeeeeeeeeeeee #but yeah idk what i'm gonna do next but socks and maybe the no frills sweater are kinda on my bucket list #maybe i'll fall in love with sweater making who knows #but also !!! the vintage crochet channel i follow is also learning knitting and she was working on #a pattern from 1912 that i really like and i might see about making that for the lighthouse #after i can finish my crochet shawl. just to give myself options to look stylish but simple #anyway yeah i'll take pics laterrrrrr i've got quite a bit done and the final scarf is probably gonna be real long when its done #im not even to the first color change in it and i want to use the whole cake and get it out of my collection

looking specifically for drawings of mine with backgrounds really makes me realize that i. don't draw backgrounds very often. simple colors or patterns ftw i guess

#one recent one has a full environment but i cant show that one just yet #otherwise a good chunk of my drawings just have a simple color background...#maybe occasionally there'll be like. a couch. or maybe something else. idk #its probably bc i focus more on characters and rendering so backgrounds are NOT a big part of my art #i also just dont particularly like drawing environments that much and if i do draw them they're not gonna be too accurate #proper perspective? what's that!! im just gonna draw my silly wobbly lines and make shit up!!

Trying to find artwork for my newly painted office and I am SO!!! CLOSE!!!! but not quite and it is frustrating as hell and unfortunately it has consumed my entire soul and I will not be able to rest or think of anything else until I figure it out.

makes me wonder how the web processes something as “AI” made and “human” made

Dunno if anyone's mentioned this yet, but I found a site where you can drop images to check whether they're AI generated or not and it will give you a percentage of how likely something is to be a machine generated imagine, or machine scraped text.

(images I knew for a fact were not machine generated because they predate it)

(Images I know were machine generated because they were marked as such on a booru)

#LIKE #why does a simple background change make the image less likely to be ai made?#is it because the pattern is repetitive?#or is it because that challenges the fact ai requires prompts #which makes backgrounds with a different color theme than the focus difficult for ai generated images #why is the original version of “Alice” (a name my friends dubbed the red dress girl)#23.8% likely to be an AI generated image #but the version of her with a bright yellow/orange multiply layer fucking NINETY EIGHT POINT SEVEN PERCENT #LIKELY TO BE AI GENERATED #i am just curious #very. very curious.#also I find it funny how little change it requires for my image to be considered not AI generated #which begs the question of wether or not this aspect can be abused
